To our Donors of Distinction members, Lister’s Legacy members, business and philanthropy partners,

It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Donors of Distinction has completed its final year.

​

Our organization was founded, initially as Designing Daughters, in 2009 by Shelley Lister and a handful of ambitious young women interested in furthering their impact within the community. To date, the organization has granted more than $500,000 back to over 70 Sarasota-Manatee nonprofits through countless volunteer hours by its members throughout the years.

​

Donors of Distinction members, known as DDs, have been a diverse group of community leaders interested in participating in our community’s unique culture of giving. Our organization has provided a launching pad for budding philanthropists and offered them a glimpse into the wide network of donation-based organizations in our area. Many of our members have gone on to chair boards, lead volunteerism efforts and even work for our philanthropy partners.

Donors of Distinction has not only fostered a spirit of generosity within the community but has also been instrumental in building strong friendships and greater participation in our area’s many nonprofits.

We at Donors of Distinction would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been involved with and touched by our outstanding organization. Without you, none of our efforts would have been possible.
